Google Pixel 6A will include the Camouflage tool

Google debuted their excellent Magic Eraser tool on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, an editing feature designed to remove unwanted people or objects in the background of your photos.

The tool is very simple to use, and the results of the output images are also convenient. However, Adobe can go out of business at any time.

Google will be adding a new Camouflage tool in Pixel 6A

Along with the Pixel 6A, Google will be adding a new Camouflage tool, a Magic Eraser feature that’s much more desirable than the regular eraser tool on the upcoming 6 and 6 Pro. It is easier to use and the results are better.

Magic Eraser works like Photoshop’s content-aware fill. After you make a selection it will remove the unwanted content.

It will then take information from the nearby image and use it to fill in that area. As for other items, this works best if they are separate from the rest of your image.

Now that the photos are viewed on smaller screens, the results can be better seen. If you want to remove an object from the image that overlaps with other parts, the final result will not look good.

The main reason for this is that it is more difficult for the system to predict well how to fill the remaining space. This may result in strange artifacts that may annoy you.

In such a situation, Camouflage is the best choice for you. Instead of completely erasing the unwanted object, the tool will lighten the color to reduce the focus on that object.

The way the Magic Eraser works is to try to replicate it so it doesn’t exist . Camouflage will do just enough to reduce the distraction.

According to Google spokesperson Matt Flegal, the Camouflage tool will be available on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro on July 28, the same day the Pixel 6A goes on sale.
